Edibles

Cannabis-infused foods are made with cannabis oil, butter, concentrate or distillate. For those who want to microdose, experience a longer session or avoid inhalation, edibles may be a good option. Edibles offer a longer-lasting high than inhalation, because the liver metabolizes the active cannabinoids. This results in a slower onset of effects (45 minutes to 90 minutes) but a longer-lasting euphoric experience (two to five hours). Edible doses can be difficult to gauge for first-timers because of the slow onset. Overconsumption can produce intense or unpleasant effects, including feelings of paranoia. Read the instructions and begin with a microdose to establish your baseline. Then in a future experience, slowly titrate — or increase in increments — your dose to establish what is most comfortable for you.
